Due to urgent remedial health and safety maintenance work required at Pittville Pump Room, the venue space has been closed with immediate effect to enable this work to be carried out.
The Cheltenham Trust is taking prompt action to ensure wherever possible that hires and events scheduled in the venue over the next few weeks can be relocated or rescheduled to its other venues. As the manager of the pump room the trust apologises sincerely for this inconvenience, and the impact that this temporary closure will have on some valued hirers and scheduled events as a consequence of the essential health and safety work required.
Pittville Pump Room is owned by Cheltenham Borough Council and managed by The Cheltenham Trust. As a Grade I listed building it requires continual maintenance and the health and safety of staff, visitors and hirers to the venue remains the top priority for both organisations.
It is hoped that the remedial work required will be undertaken as soon as possible to enable the venue to reopen to accommodate hirers and the scheduled programme of events.
The Heritage Café remains open and unaffected by the essential work.
