The doors to Play! House are now open, welcoming visitors to The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum’s new family exhibition dedicated to play. The exhibition will be open until Sunday, 8th September, with free entry.

Following the overwhelming success and positive feedback from our 2023 exhibition ‘PLAY!’, this year’s exhibition features vibrant immersive artworks and role-play activities suitable for the whole family.

Visit the first-floor gallery where you can pick up a ticket from the mini box office and enter the immersive theatre set, complete with exciting costumes, instruments, props, and tech department. There is also a main stage for children to perform, have fun and learn through play. There is something for everyone, and we can’t wait for you to join us for another free summer of Play at The Wilson!

Step into paradise this August bank holiday at the Garden Bar, Imperial Gardens. Join us on Monday 26 August from 12pm to 8pm for a free Hawaiian party. Get into the tropical spirit with free live music from DJ Merv 2pm until 4.30pm, food, dance, and children’s films.

Sip on a Hawaiian pineapple and rum punch for just £8 a glass throughout the day. You can also enjoy our food options: beef burger with cheese and bacon – £9, beef burger with cheese – £8, plain beef burger – £7.50, vegan burger – £8, or pineapple chicken drumsticks – £7.50

Join us for a day of bouncing fun on our bouncy castles, games, arts and crafts, a special guest and more. Aimed at children aged eight and under.

Enjoy a week of fun and explore a range of sports and activities including football, badminton and crafts. Suitable for ages eight to 12. Experience a half term where you’ll be able to try new things and meet new friends.

An exhibition of world-class paintings that tells an extraordinary story of 20th century art and modern love through the collection of post-war Bulgarian migrant Mattei Radev and features work by iconic artists.
