October half term is just around the corner, and families looking for fun, affordable ways to keep children entertained will find plenty to enjoy with The Cheltenham Trust.

Across Cheltenham Town Hall, The Wilson Art Gallery & Museum, Pittville Pump Room and Leisure at Cheltenham, an exciting programme of activities offers something for all ages and interests. From family shows and creative workshops to Halloween parties and swimming sessions, there are opportunities to get creative, active and inspired throughout the school break.

The fun begins with Dear Zoo at Cheltenham Town Hall on 21 October, bringing Rod Campbell’s much-loved children’s story to life with puppets, music and audience participation. Families can also enjoy the wildly entertaining Rude Science show on 25 October, packed with experiments and laugh-out-loud moments.

Halloween features heavily in this year’s programme, with a range of family-friendly activities. The Wilson will host its popular Halloween Trail, Halloween Tots Spooktakular, Creative Explorers holiday club and a Halloween Party. Meanwhile, the Party Peeps Halloween Party arrives at Pittville Pump Room on 28 October, bringing a family rave filled with costumes, dancing and interactive fun.

At Leisure at Cheltenham, the Little Monsters Party on 29 October promises a spooky celebration with bouncy castles, face painting, Halloween crafts, dancing and games. Families can also enjoy swimming sessions, inflatable soft play and children’s swimming lessons throughout the week, with dedicated SEND sessions available for children with additional needs.

For families seeking free activities, The Wilson’s Play Café and the imaginative Wonky Workshop exhibition offer opportunities to play, create and discover together.

The half-term programme concludes with K-Pop Fantasy Halloween Special at Cheltenham Town Hall on 1 November, combining live vocals, high-energy dance routines and Halloween-themed entertainment.
