The Cheltenham Trust is opening the doors to Pittville Pump Room for a brand-new pop-up café, running from 30 October to 28 November.

Open every day from 9.30am to 4.30pm, the café invites visitors to enjoy delicious food and drink, explore the history of Cheltenham’s only Grade I listed building, and share their ideas for its future. The space will also host a programme of free live music and talks, celebrating local artists in one of Cheltenham’s most atmospheric heritage venues.

To launch the pop-up, Lord Irving will perform on Thursday 30 October, 1–3pm, bringing Carey Andrews’ progressive folk-fusion sound to the Pump Room’s stunning acoustics. The following day, Friday 31 October, 1–3pm, audiences can enjoy the soulful reggae sounds of Onika Venus.

Curated by the team from The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, the café design celebrates the story of Pittville in six chapters, inspired by its Georgian origins. Visitors can enjoy freshly made brunches, light bites, seasonal dishes and homemade cakes, alongside artisan coffee, hot chocolate and loose-leaf teas – available to eat in or take away.

Jessica Brewster, CEO of The Cheltenham Trust, said:

“The Pittville Pump Room Pop-Up is the perfect opportunity to invite our community back into this magnificent building to celebrate its fascinating past and look ahead to the future. Whether you come in for a cuppa, a concert or simply curiosity, we’d love to hear your views on what an exciting future at the Pump Room would be for you.”

The Pittville Pump Room Pop-Up Café runs until 28 November. For the latest information and full free music listings, visit pittvillepumproom.org.uk/pop-up
