Changes are being made this May at the Garden Bar with the creation of a new look open-air café bar ready for the summer months.

As part of the new look, the glass orangery structure and adjoining decking is being removed, making way for a new seating area with large parasols and flower planters. Work is due to start in early May at the Garden Bar, and Skillicorne Garden.

The Garden Bar serving kiosk and Skillicorne Garden will mostly remain open while the work to take down and remove the neighbouring orangery building is carried out, although the Garden Bar will be closed from 15 May to 17 May 2024. The Garden Bar re-opens on Saturday 18 May with a new, external seating area in front of the serving area overlooking the park.

The new café bar will offer comfortable seating with large parasols providing shade and cover where customers and visitors can enjoy food, drinks and our summer programme of free live music and events. We look forward to welcoming our customers and visitors to the new-look Garden Bar from Saturday 18 May.

The covered marquee remains at Skillicorne Garden which will also be refreshed as part of the refurbishment.
